Tourist attractions located close to Sydney include the Blue Mountains, Jenolan Caves, Macquarie Towns Area, Macarthur Country, Hawkesbury River, the Central Coast and the Hunter Valley Wineries - home to some of the best vineyards in the world. The University of Sydney is the oldest tertiary institution in the whole of Australia and was founded in 1850. The main campus of Sydney University is bounded by Missenden Road, Parramatta Road, Carillon Avenue and City Road, and features more than 30,000 students, a large number of different faculties and spectacular sandstone architecture with detailed stone carvings. Highlights at the University of Sydney include the university's Great Hall, which has wooden ceilings and impressive stained-glass windows, and the Main Quadrangle, with classical Gothic-style design.
